Getting Started
Welcome to SquirrelCache! This guide will walk you through the basics of using the app to save and organize the content you care about.
SquirrelCache will be available on the App Store soon. Once it launches, you can download it directly to your iPhone or iPad.
First Launch
When you open SquirrelCache for the first time, you'll be guided through a quick setup process. This includes choosing your default preferences and optionally setting up any integrations.
Saving Content
SquirrelCache makes it easy to save the things you come across throughout your day.
From the App
Tap the save button within the app to add photos, notes, or links directly to your stash. You can add titles, tags, and notes to each item for easy retrieval later.
Using the Share Extension
Found something interesting in Safari, Photos, or another app? Use the iOS Share Sheet to send it straight to SquirrelCache without switching apps.
Organizing Your Stash
As your stash grows, organization keeps things manageable.
Collections
Group related items into collections. Think of them like folders tailored to your workflow — "Recipes," "Travel Ideas," "Work References," or whatever works for you.
Tags
Tags let you label items across multiple collections. A single photo can belong to a collection and still be findable by its tags.
Finding What You Need
Use the search bar to find items by title, tag, or content. SquirrelCache is designed to help you find what you saved quickly, even as your stash grows.
